The current facilities at Tāhunanui Beach are deemed inefficient by club members, leading to a waste of time and resources that could be more effectively utilized. A new, purpose-built facility would streamline operations, enhancing the club's ability to provide lifesaving services efficiently. This improvement is expected to bolster community engagement and safety for both locals and tourists, potentially increasing local economic benefits through enhanced beach tourism and community activities.

There is a need to engage our community and young people to join the club and keep locals and tourists safe in our NZ waters. As a club member the current set up is challenging and the required set up take time and resources that could be better spent.
